This year for African History Month, we are showcasing the Black Inventors in STEM exhibit, curated by Mr. Francis Jeffers of the Canadian Multicultural Inventors Museum.
The exhibit was created to inspire Black youth and adults to see themselves as a part of the history of STEM worldwide and to enable other ethnic groups to strengthen their understanding of the contributions of Black people to STEM.
The exhibit displays the achievements of black people in STEM throughout history-from Ancient Egyptians to the modern day, including contemporary scientists, engineers and inventors. This exhibit will be showcased in various locations throughout Nova Scotia and Cape Breton.
