ILA-TD Opportunity Scholarship – valued at up to $5,000.  A  four-year renewable scholarship for students in grades 7-12 who plan to enter Dalhousie University for a science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) field of study.

Scholarship

The 2026-2027 ILA-CMOS Scholarship is open to Black or Indigenous students in grades 11 or 12 who have a demonstrated interest in STEM.

Those planning to pursue post-secondary study in fields such as:  Oceanography, Meteorology, Climatology, Engineering, Maths, or Sciences are encouraged to apply.  Deadline:  May 3, 2026.

This is a one-time scholarship valued at $1,000.

Scholarship

The ECCC Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Undergraduate Scholarships are awarded to students in their graduating year of high school (CEGEP for Quebec applicants), who wish to pursue bachelor’s degrees leading to possible careers in environmental sciences or environmental engineering.

Four scholarships will be awarded: $2,000/year for a maximum of four years.

Indigenous, Persons with Disabilities, Visible Minorities, Women.

Scholarship

 
The AHT and Waterbury Newton Law Firm offer a scholarship to support descendants of Africville residents and those advancing the Society’s mission through advocacy or research. Funded by a $100,000 legal settlement, the scholarship supports studies at accredited Canadian institutions. Applicants must show proof of enrolment and submit high school transcripts.

Summer Student Research Scholarships –  Scholarships ($10,500 minimum value) for students interested in conducting summer research in Computer Science, Dentistry, Engineering, Health, Science.  Students must identify a Dalhousie University faculty supervisor to oversee their research.

Summer Studentships for non-medical Students – $10,500 (minimum value).  Scholarships for students interested in conducting summer research in Medicine.  Students must identify a faculty supervisor to oversee their research.

The Canadian Black Scientists Network (CBSN) exists to Elevate, Make Visible, Celebrate and Connect Black Canadians pursuing or possessing advanced degrees in STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics & Medicine/Health) across sectors.

Scholarship

The Digital Transformation for Community Impact Scholarship supports exceptional incoming students into thesis or course-based master’s programs offered by Dalhousie University’s faculties of Computer Science or Management whose work advances inclusive, ethical, and community-centred digital transformation.

Award value:  Two entrance scholarships at $10,000 from 2026-2030
Eligibility:  Applicants must be in one of the following programs:

  • Master of Applied Computer Science
  • Master of Business Administration
  • Master of Computer Science
  • Master of Digital Innovation
  • Master of Information and related joint degrees
  • Master of Science in Business

Application deadline:  June 1, 2026
